What is the proper way to bill Sleep Studies if the sleep study was performed and the doctor did not read it for 3 or 4 days? Should we bill technical and proffesional componets separately??? Please help quickly!

Do you have a doctor who interprets the studies at the sleep lab?? And does the doctor and lab bill under the same provider numbers? I bill interps for sleep studies and our professional claims have to match the technical claim for authorization purposes. I would go ahead and bill the technical, and then once the doctor does the interp, then bill the professional component with the date of service matching the technical component claim.
