need help with coding an inpatient sx - new to all this
patient came in with gunshot wound to neck, right shoulder and abdomen
procedures performed:
1. exploratory laparotomy
2. small bowel resection
3. right hemicolectomy
4. repair of multiple small bowel and colonic injuries by the performance of 2 small bowel anastomoses, ileotransverse anastomoses
5. exploration of right retroperitoneal hematoma
6. umbilical hernia repair
7. excision and closure of gunshot wounds to the neck x2, gunshot wound to right shoulder x2, and gunshot wound to the abdomen x2
