I need some clarification on this situation because the MCR manual does not help at all. My PA was req'd to consult on a patient that was in our hospital in a Swingbed status. He seen the patient and dictated eval but because she's a MCR patient I know not to bill Consult, my question is for SNF/NF codes will I charge an Initial or a Subsequent? On regular Inpt visits I normally charge Subsequent in this situation but I wasn't for sure if SNF/NF worked the same way.
