We have a patient the was admitted to SNF on Sat, the physician saw her and discharged her on Mon. He wants to bill the initial and discharge for Mon. We have two cci programs that are one says you can put a modifier on the discharge and the other says they can't be billed together. I can't find a policy that adresses this specific situation. Can someone point me in the rigth disection.

*Update*

I have found documentation that says they cannot be billed together. Finally found it in the Medicare Manuals.
