If MD write orders for Patient that will be in long term care in a SNF and coordinates with other MDs from the facility and pt not present. What code CPT can he use for this? (Most patients are Medicare)

G0179
G0180 ?????

G0179/G0180 are not for SNF charges....these are for Physician cert/recert ofU]home health services[/U]; see your HCPCS for full description.

I am not aware of any charge a physician can make, other than the admission to, monthly visits, and discharge of a patient from a SNF. 99304 - 99318, which are all face to face visits.

If a patient has home health/hospice going to the SNF, there are codes G0181/G0182, that if the required time is met, can be coded. These are not face to face visits, but for the physician's supervision of orders by home health/hospice.
