We had a patient today that came in due to swelling from the removal of her Life Port. We did an ultrasound, but aren't exactly sure how to code it. Our technologist scanned her jugular and subclavian veins as well as her soft tissue on the right side of the neck. Does anyone know what CPT code would fit the best?

It depends on documention, but for the vascular imaging, I would code 93971, assuming duplex (spectral) and color flow images are documented.
