Hello,
I'm in NYC and recently one of my payers has denied paying for my sonograms 76817 and 76830 when I bill it with OV.
They do pay for it when it is billed along with the surgical procedure.
My facility is billing under bill type 831 or 731 and is considered a free -standing facility.
The denial reason states that there is a missing service/procedure in order to pay for sonogram. When it is billed only with an OV.
Does anyone have any idea how to deal with it, I've red all the transmittals and CMS guidelines and I haven't found anything like that for OB/GYN clinics like mine.
