I have a lumbar laminectomy L3-4 w/ spinal fusion using bone graft with synthes instrumentation. The patients dx is lumbar stenosis. The physician coded 63047,63048,22612,22842,20937. The problem I have is with 63047,63048 the doc does not state the he perfomed a foraminotomy, facetectomy or discectomy so I am leaning towards 63005. Please advise

i would just go with the 63005 as well if that is all he did but yes I agree I would ask the dr to clarify first.
