Wiki Splint Application - does it need Rt or LT modifer

I do the professional coding for an ER. So if a patient comes in with an injury and the physician applies a splint/cast would we add the modifiers RT or LT to those codes. For example 29105/RT. Or for the professional fee should be not add the anatomical modifiers?

Yes, I would add modifier LT or RT to the splint/cast codes as long as the code is for a "paired" structure such as arms, legs, knees, etc.

If a pt is in global and is receiving an injection that's not related to the global procedure, will the RT or LT modifier take first priority over the 79 modifier? Example 79 RT or RT 79
