this question has been floating around and I cant seem to find a straight answer. An imaging center has begun to use telerads necessitating the need for split billing.

so this question is regarding split billing (PC/TC) when the PC is in a different MAC locality. We want to know if we can bill under the group NPI instead of the individual NPI when billing for the technical component mainly because we don't know who the supervising physician is on the DOS until later.
