We are having a discussion about whether or not two radiologists in the same group can split the billing on a procedure - one radiologist performs the procedure, but a different radiologist dictates the report. If this can be done, how should we split the code(s) between the two doctors? Here is an example:

DOS: 2013-11-21 Sex: M Type: IP
SigningMD: Workman, Jr., Ronald B Order: 202868049
ReferringMD: KATYAL, DEEPAK Visit: 3511237407
AutoAccident: 0 WorkRelated: 0
Ins1: Medicare Part B Code: 200 Medicare: True
Ins2: Medicaid of Alabama Code: 500 Medicare: False
Ins3: Code: Medicare: False
OrderEx: OrderCPTs:
XR BARIUM ENEMA ROUTINE 74270
BARIUM ENEMA
INDICATION:
Evaluate for stricture
COMPARISON:
CT abdomen and pelvis, 11/12/13
TECHNIQUE:
Dr. Scott Lynn performed the procedure injecting 750 mL barium sulfate through the patient`s colostomy.Fluoroscopy time was 56 seconds.
FINDINGS:
Scout image shows a nonobstructive bowel gas pattern.
Surgical clips are noted in the lower abdomen and at the right upper quadrant.
Dr. Lynn catheterized the stoma and was able to inject barium sulfate without difficulty, filling the entirety of the colon. Some contrast was also seen filling the distal ileum. While there is a caliber change involving the first few centimeters of the colon at the level of the stoma, this is not unexpected given passage through the body wall.
The colon is otherwise unremarkable.
IMPRESSION:
No definite evidence of stricture.
There is a caliber change noted as described above, but this is not unexpected given passage of colon through the body wall.

One would bill the Technical Component and the other the Professional Component. All taken place in the same place of service, right?
