Our provider saw a minor patient for a Sport Physical. The patient denied any medical problems. She was due for updates on immunizations The provider billed an New Patient visit (99203) which I think is incorrect. I feel she should have billed a Preventive. Please give me your input on this. Thanks
 
If the pateint has not had a prevent in the last year then I agree it should be preventive, otherwise I suggest using the unlisted preventive with the V70.3 dx code.
