i have a child that sprained the mid part of his foot and the physician is billing for a distal fibula fracture...this doesnt seem right but I cant find codes for a sprain
 
a sprain is part of the E&M for the treatment. If it is splinted you may charge for the splinting. but there will be no fx care if there is no dislocation.
