My plastic surgeons are now doing breast reconstruction with fat grafting in stages. Code 19366 Breast reconstruction with other technique would be for the first stage but what should I code for the next time the patient comes in for more fat grafting to complete the reconstruction?? They tell me this could be done x4 stages to complete.
I am thinking 19366 the first time, then 20926-58 for the rest, would this be overcoding? Perhaps it should be 19366-52 the first time or 19366 and the rest not billed as they could be bundled????
