I work for a urology practice, and one of our physicians is planning to perform a procedure that involves a cystoscopy, transurethral resection of a bladder neck contracture, followed by a stem cell injection.
I have been researching the appropriate CPT code(s) for this procedure. Has anyone encountered a similar case or can provide guidance on how best to code this?
The codes under consideration are:
52500 – nothing has been done to his prostate
53899 – an unlisted procedure, benchmarked to 51715 administration for injection (the facility will be billing separately for the stem cells)

Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
