What is the difference between stenosis of a vessel and an occlusion of a vessel?

Thanks,

Stenosis is a narrowing of the vessel. Occlusion is a blockage (Closing) of the vessel.

Either could be caused by external pressure on the vessel or something inside the vessel that either narrows its opening or closes it all together.
