Hello everyone.

The physician performed "laparoscopic lysis of the diaphragmatic ligament of Treitz and retropancreatic exploration and detachment of the duodenum" which he states is "Strong's Procedure". It is due to a duodenal obstruction secondary to superior mesenteric artery syndrome. Has anyone come across this before? I am stuck on the CPT code. Leaning towards an unspecified code but not sure which code to liken it to for pricing. The physician suggested 49010 for the retroperitoneal exploration but it seems like he did more than just that. Below is a good article on the procedure.

Any help is appreciated,
Jen
