One of my APRNs takes on student licensed RNs going for APRN licenses. What is the guideline for RN documenting in patient chart? I found a chart with only her handwriting and no co-signature by my APRN even though my APRN states she did examine the patient and write prescription. I feel uncomfortable billing for a service if my APRN doesn't document herself.

I don't have a citation of a regulation or guideline to give you, but my understanding is you're correct that you cannot bill for services performed by a student - the provider of any services must have their credentials and licensing in place before you can bill for those services. Although the student might be able to document in the chart, I would not code or bill for anything that was not personally performed by the provider themselves.
