Since Medicare will only accept claims sent electronically, how are you sending unclassified codes that require documentation?
 
We are in NC, and we are instructed by palmetto to send in a form with the claim and any documentation. this form is on their website. it is "additional documentation fax cover sheet" hope this helps for your area.
 
I am in NC too and when I saw that option on the Palmetto website I was thrilled.
I love being able to submit the notes on claims the first time we submit. It saves so much time in working denials and reprocessing :D
