My MD saw a patient in the hospital when they were designated as "swing bed" status in the hospital. The hospital billed this like nursing facility care. Therefore, do I use the 99307-99310 set of codes instead of the subsequent care codes to bill for his evaluation and management services? Does my Place-of-service code change to 31? Thanks for the input. :)
