We use a claim scrubbing software for our claims, and it is editing code 99225 as "Code not recognized by OPPS, Alternate code for same service may be available." Does anybody know of an alternate code to use?

That's wierd. It is a valid code...and on the OPPS fees schedule. Is the software up to date? I can't think of another code...unless it is not the primary (admitting) doc and it wants an out-pt e/m code...but that is not really consistent with the "not recognized" rejection.
