I'm new to AAPC and I'm so excited.

My question,I have a subsequential visit and a procedure performed that the physician wants to charge for. I don't think the subsequent visit can be charged for, because it's in the gobal package which the procedure is a minor procedure. Am I correct?

Welcome

Was there another problem that the Dr. discussed with the patient that was completely different from the procedure? Like HTN or DM? If so then yes you can bill fot the office visit, just add modifier 25 to the visit. If nothing else was discussed except the procedure and the problem for the procedure then no you can not charge for the procedure. It is included in the procedure.

I hope this helps,
