Does anyone know if you can bill room and board for any inpatient LOC? PHP IOP?

I read that it could be a revenue code or type of bill?
 
You can bill as inpatient for actual inpatient LOCs like Detox, RTC and Inpatient Rehab. Some insurances will allow you to bill PHP as an inpatient, but they are very few and far between. (Florida Blue is one of them when you have a DCF Res 5 license). You cannot bill as inpatient for IOP. I would check the license in your state to see which ASAM level you are servicing as that can effect the type of bill and rev code you use.
