Hello.

If the supervising physician orders meds/labs etc...but is not the treating physician then which physician do you bill under? Do you bill under the supervising physician who ordered the meds or do you bill under the physician who's been treating the patient?

Is there any documentation out there for clarification on this?

How can the supervising physician order anything if he hasn't evaluated the patient for treatment? Please elaborate on the situation.

Supervising v.s. Ordering

If the ordering physician is not on site during the treatment (outpatient infusion center), but the supervising physician is, then does it matter if it's billed under the ordering physician or the supervising physician?
