If a PA is not contracted through an insurance company and the normal supervising physician is not in, can I put another doctor that is at a different location (two locations to the office) as the supervising physician? That will depend on payer guidelines. Is there a particular payer you are referring to?

I would search "incident to billing criteria" for whatever insurance company you're inquiring about
