We have two physicians in our office. One of our mid levels is under a particular physician. If the other physician is NOT her supervising physician, can we bill that mid levels claims under the physician that is not her supervising physician? We do not do incident to billing.

Billing uder a physician NPI when the NP performs the visit is incident to billing. If the NP encounter meets incident to parameters then yes.

Are you a Medicaid provider? I know incident-to does not apply to Medicaid providers but they do have supervision requirements in addition to well visits must be billed under themselves. My understanding is that if it is a group practice the NPP can bill under whichever physician is reviewing their encounters and helping with any decisions that they may need assistance on with the exception of well exams and hospital setting visits.
