I am looking for clarification on the supervision requirements for PTA's in a private practice setting. I am getting conflicting information from Medicare IOM 230.1 C, and the Federal Register 410.60. Medicare IOM was updated 04/2025 and states that if in a private practice the supervision requirements are direct supervision and the federal Register states general supervision would be appropriate. I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you in advance.
