[We have a pain practice that typically has 2 MD's and 2 NP's. One of the MD's is leaving and we are hiring a PA. The credentaling process to link this PA is not yet completed. We believe it may not be compliant to bill for this PA's services until this process has been completed and we have received welcome letters. We have conferred with a third party that also advises it may not be compliant, especially when providing services under government contracts such as Medicare and Medicaid. Does anyone have any experience with this? We welcome any opinions and/or comments.
