Our surgeon's are using a Certified First Assist for surgeries. What modifier do I use because the 80 is for a physician and the SA is for a nurse practioner who assists a physician. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
 
Certified Surgical Assist

Is there an appropriate modifier for an independant Certified Scrub Tech/CST to bill on cases? 80/81/AS do not apply. How are these claims being processed and reimbursed by payors?
