I am a certified coder who has only done ob/gyn coding for 5 years and have recently taken a new position coding for surgical oncology. I am really having a hard time and was wondering if anyone had any resources to help me learn this new specialty.

Good morning I saw your post this morning regarding resources to help with surgical oncology coding. I've been coding surgical oncology for 4 years. I have found the Oncology/Hematology coding companion helpful. The CPT Assistant has some helpful resources depending on the focus of your doctors. You can also find information online at places such as Johns Hopkins and the American Cancer Society which have some excellent resources explaining different things. There are other sites you can go to as well that can be helpful depending on the type of surgical oncology your doctors do. Let me know if that helps! :)
