My provider is wanting to do a procedure in the office, that is normally done in ASC setting. Is there anywhere I can find the answer regarding if a procedure will be covered/allowed in an office setting.

Thank you

The rules for what is covered or allowed are usually set by the payers, so you would have to start by contacting the particular payer or by reviewing their policies. As a general rule, though, most payers would have less strict coverage requirements for having a procedure done in the office rather than the ASC because the overall cost to them would be much less.

What Thomas said.

Run benefits and find out if it can be done in house. There's your answer for your provider.
