Hello, due to changes in pediatric cardiology availability our office will begin cardiology testing (echo, ekg) PC and TC from two different locations.
If a provider is dually employed and will bill the TC from a clinic owned by a hospital in Iowa.
The provider reading the results will bill with a 26 modifier from her employing hospital in a Nebraska that is not associated with the testing site.
The provider does visit the Iowa hospital for clinic 4 hours a week to see patients. But will not bill interpretation from the Iowa clinic location.
My question is can the TC component be billed with a different location and NPI than the visit location and/or the interp location (26)?
Thank you,
Louise
