According to the TCM guidelines, Physicians or NPPs may furnish certain non-face-to-face services including:
-Obtain and review discharge information.
I would think when the provider "obtains and reviews" the discharge information that we can't give credit under the Data table within MDM because it appears already included in the TCM service???
Does anyone know if we can give credit under Data reviewed within MDM when the provider provides a review AND summarization of discharge records within the face to face note? I'm considering discharge records to fall under "old records". The guidelines do not state that a written summarization of the discharge record/s is an included component under TCM.
Need clarification and other's opinions. Thanks!
