hi,
I am looking for clarification for billing for the attending when the resident sees the patient
If the patient comes in on a Thursday and the attending is on site and in communication with the resident regarding testing to be done and waits til the results are in which happens to be after midnight so is actually on Friday. what date does the attending bill? Does she bill for the Thursday date since she was involved in the ordering of tests? Or does she bill the date she actually physically saw the patient?
any help would be appreciated as I have always billed private practice before this
