I have a grp that has been charging 99361 when the Dr. talks with the rehab nurse after examining the pt. They realized that 99361 was deleted last year and now are asking if they should bill 99366. The Dr. spends less than 30 minutes with the rehab nurse and I have told them they cannot charge for this service as it is included in the E/M. Also the rehab nurse reimburses on the spot and turns in this charge to wc to be reimbursed. I personally have never heard of this-am I leaving money on the table? Please respond.
Thanks, Deb
