When using telehealth modifier, GT, what are your thoughts on using this modifier with a commerical insurance in regards to being in a HPSA (high physician shortage area)?
I have a case in which a physician is wishing to bill an E/M with the GT modifer, as it is a comercial insurance, not Medicare, while the patient was in a high shortage area, the patient was not. They were in a neighboring facility (not a HPSA).
Any/all feedback and opinions would really be appreciated at this pint!
