Does anyone know anything about Telehealth - E & M codes 99341-99345. What would be the appropriate POS code for Telehealth for this code 12 or 2? I could not find anything on the CMS website about this. Also, would need to use 95 modifier?

Hi there, as far as I'm concerned 99341-99345 are Home Visits, therefore place of service needs to be home (12). POS (2) indicates services were done via telecommunication. As far as MOD goes, MOD (95) is to be used with Commercial payers only* to indicate that services were done via Audio and Video Telecommunication system as well. You should not report MOD 95 for Medicare claims. For Medicare you should use no* MOD for telehealth, just add POS (2). Hi. do you know when to use home visits 99341-99345 versus 99202-99205. We see patients in their homes, we also spend more time and use prolonged codes on the 99202-99205. I cannot find prolonged for 99341-99345!
Any help would be great!
