We are in the process of switching from one billing company to another.
We have been billing insurance for the past 12 months. Our payments are very inconsistent from the insurance companies.
We need to gain clarity on the following ...
1) Are we using the right billing codes?
2) Are we billing an appropriate amounts (high or low)?
3) What aren't we billing for that we should be?
4) What can we do to ensure better payment percentages and turn times from the insurance companies?
5) Your professional opinions on the plusses and minuses of in network versus out of network.
5a) What are average turn-times to pay in both scenarios?
5b) What are average rates in both scenarios?
6) What else should we have in place to make sure that we have a successful launch with our newest billing company?
We are seeking a consultant who has experience in behavioral health/drug & alcohol dependency. We bill for the following services:
PHP (partial hospitalization program)
IOP (intensive outpatient program)
OP (outpatient program)
UAs (urinalysis drug screens)
Neurofeedback
We are probably missing other billing opportunities.
We need a consultant that can review our scenario. We are only looking for someone to do this on a short-term basis.
