Ive been driving myself crazy trying to fiqure this out i bill occupational medicine (WC) state of Indiana we have tons of these injuries:
patient complaining of hand pain felt a pop top of hand

physical exam by physician:there is mild dorsal edema of the left hand fine tendon crepitus is palpated with digits ROM (primarily 3rd digit) gross crepitus is ausculated flexion ROM is complete with effort distal n/v status is intact

DX: Extensor tenosynovitis left hand

do i use:
727.05 tenosynovitis hand wrist other OR
727.63 nontraumatic rupture of extensor tendon of hand and wrist

Please please help before i pull my hair out HAHA thanks
