I am new to the TENS unit billing for an MD. My office is as well and we are trying to get as much information as possible.

I have come up with billing 64550 and E0720 or E0730.

I am confused as to when to bill out for the tens, during the trial or after the trial. Do I bill 64550 during trial and then E0720 after the trial or do I just bill 64550 and E0720 together after the trial or do I bill them to gether during the trial.

Or is the trial part of an E/M service.
