Hi all,

Our pediatritian gives tepid sponge bath for high temperatures.
He requested us to code tepid sponging,which iam not able.
Any help is appreciated.

Pediatrician performing treatment?

Are you saying the pediatrician is - himself - giving the baby a sponge bath?

This would be part of the E/M service. If personally performed by the physician and the time spent is 30 minutes or more over and above the usual E/M service, he can also code prolonged service.

Highly unusual. Be prepared to appeal with excellent and thorough documentation.
