I am not that familiar with GYN coding but have a question. If a patient is coming in for BRACA test results and they are negative and the provider literally only talks to the patient for two mintues to tell her the results are negative is there a visit to be billed?

Did the nurse do vitals and review anything or give any additional brochures on self exams for example? Was the test done more than 7 days prior? Seems like a neg. result should have been relayed by phone call from the nurse or MA or card in the mail. It will be hard to show medical necessity unless she was counseled on self exams, future mammogram schedules, etc.
