A pt came into the clinic who had hardware placed in his neck 5 day post surgery. There is drainage from the surgery site. The provider wanted to know if the drainage was CSF. The drainage was tested for glucose using a UA dip strip test. CPT 81003 is for a urine sample.

The clinic staff have really stumped me on this one. Does anyone have any ideas how to code this or if it can be coded?
