Okay, so there's this thing. I work at a family practice/pain management clinic. We do a LOT of bursa/joint injections with ultrasound and it's recently come to my attention that we've probably been coding them all very wrong for a while now and I need to make sure I'm getting my facts straight so we can get the right codes in these claims.

For joint/bursa injections WITH ULTRASOUND, I have been using 20604, 20606, and 20611 and leave out 76942 for ultrasound since it's supposed to be included in those bursa codes based on the procedure descriptions.

For joint/bursa injections WITHOUT ULTRASOUND, I'm using codes 20600, 20605, and 20610 and reporting the medicine separately.

Am I on the right track?
