I am new to this specialty and coming from Pediatrics to Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery is quite the culture shock. So whatever anyone can do to help I would very much appreciate it. Down to business. The Op report states they found an ossified tumor affecting 2 ribs. The surgeons take out the two ribs and send those for testing then they use surgical mesh over the ribs and then placed rib plates. I have a variety of codes and I am not sure if everything would be included in these codes or not. So far I have 32900, 21600, 19260. I have not coded for the nerve block yet. I am utterly confused any help is much appreciated.
