I am new to coding nuclear medicine so in need of some advice. :confused:

How do you bill for a thyroid uptake and scan exam, when one day the patient takes a pill and returns the next day for the actual test. On the fist day do you only code for the administration of the radiopharmaceutical/radiotracer then the following day/visit bill for 78014?

If there is a link to guidelines or reference material for this it would be a great help!!
