Does anyone know or can point me in the right direction to find out the time frame for a supervisor as rendering physician? We are a behavioral health group and we have some LPC's that need to be billed under the supervising physician. I was always under the impression if the visit is not signed by a supervising within 24 hours (depending on situation) or it is not billable.

Hello, here is an article for Medicare. This may help. Also, it is "recommended" that the provider signs the note within 24 hours. I also added documentation guidelines link to help with the signing question.
