Does anyone know if there is a CPT or a HCPCS modifier to use for timely filing? Mediciad of NY says we have to refile claim with a code.
 
Let me ask if you are filing your claims through their online system? As I have done billing for NY Medicaid and when claims are filed online throught their system there is a numeric code that they require to indicate the claim is a timely filing issue. This has nothing to do with a modifier rather just something their own crazy system requires. I apologize for not know the name of their system but it has been a few years since I did the billing. Hope that is of help to you.
