Does anyone know if you can back bill on a claim that would be a corrected claim, does this still fall under timely filing. I omitted a charge on a claim that has already been paid. It would be considered a corrected claim, however it is over the original 180 day old. Since it was originally billed for other procedures and paid can I still file the corrected claim to be paid for the additional procedure I ommitted?

It depends on the insurance company. Some have a year timely filing limit. Some have 6 months and some have 3 months. And then after the claim has been submitted you have the same amount a time after submission date for a correction. Like bobs in Alaska allows 1 yr for timely filing. If I get it in within 2 weeks after dos. I only have one year from when I got it in to correct it. Hope that helps.
