Tonsil hemorrhage pre-operative

A 7 yrs was seen in the ER for tonsil hemorrhage before surgery.
The bleed could not be taken care of in the ER. So the patient was taken to the OR for cauterizing. It was decided in the ER not to do the tonsillectomy at that time because of the infection. What is the correct CPT code? CPT 42960 is believe is only for post-tonsillectomy. :eek:
